If you studied Spanish in high school or at another institution, don't waste valuable time, energy, and money by starting back at the beginning. Most universities, colleges, and community colleges require all students to take a placement or proficiency exam before enrolling in a foreign language course. If you've studied Spanish before, chances are you do not need to start with numbers, letters, and basic grammar; nevertheless, you probably need an quick refresher course to get you back to speed. All of the below classes start by reviewing basic grammar, key vocabulary, and essential conversational phrases, all of which will help you do your best on the university sponsored exam.

$75 for one session of intensive grammar review / two hours
$125 for one session of intensive grammar review / four hours
$195 for two sessions of intensive grammar review / six total hours
* Classes are designed to help you test out of (or skip) entry-level classes. Starting in the second level could save you thousands of dollars and a great deal of time at the University of Tennessee, Pellissippi, or another institution, especially if you have taken two years of Spanish in high school. UT allows students to take the exam ONLY ONCE, so make sure you are well prepared.
